Tater The Rag Doll's History
How it began? An Orphan. Cast off. Left beind. Abandoned. His lonely, broken life in ruins. Tater was rummaged, found face-down, crying and sobbing - laying in a tangled box of computer cables at a local thrift store. When I pulled him out and looked at his ugly face with two goofy button-eyes that aren't even the same size buttons, I fell in love with Tater. Many of Tater's video shorts include his stuffed toy bear buddy Muffler. Muffler was an orphan too. He used to be a musical bear with wind up music box inside. But when I found him at my local thrift store - He was silent. The music box was broke. Silenced, muted, muffled. So that's how Muffler got his name. When we got him home, Tater watched as I performed an emergency spinal surgery on the bear. Mufflers plastic wind-up mechanism was broken, so we sewed him up, gave him time to heal, and adopted him in to our new chosen family. The literal 'shelf-life' of most dolls and plushies is too boring. Sitting on a shelf all day ain't where the action is. Tater The Rag Doll dreamed of a better life than he had as an abandoned, throw-away cast-off orphan. Safe with his new dad, MacGizmoGuy, Tater began a new life filled with hopes and dreams of making something of himself, of becoming loved, famous and adored.
